If               you               are               getting               started               in               owner               operator               trucking               and               want               to               be               able               to               find               your               own               freight               loads               and               maximize               your               income,               you               will               need               to               know               your               trucking               shorthand.

There               are               simple               abbreviations               that               are               used               in               the               online               load               boards,               and               when               you               know               what               the               letters               stand               for               it               will               be               much               easier               in               deciphering               the               load               requirements.

Most               seasoned               truckers               know               these               already,               but               if               you               are               thinking               about               doing               any               type               of               owner               operator               trucking               or               hot               shot               trucking               (where               you               do               expedited               loads               on               short               notice               in               an               emergency               setting)               then               you               will               need               to               know               these               shorthand               abbreviations               to               give               you               the               knowledge               you'll               need               for               the               load               forum               boards.

The               abbreviations               below               are               some               of               the               most               used               letters               in               the               trucking               industry.

It               is               not               a               complete               exhaustive               list               but               will               hit               the               highlights               that               truckers               use               in               their               business.
