                   All               you               girly               type               men               can               stop               reading               this               right               now               as               it               doesn't               pertain               to               you               at               all.

    This               is               a               story               about               real               men.

    The               type               of               men,               who               watch               sports,               do               home               improvements,               have               manly               jobs               and               eat               things               like               steak               and               especially               salty               snacks.

    I'm               talking               about               manly               men               and               this               is               a               story               about               where               most               of               them               reside:               the               manliest               cities               in               all               of               America.
                   Who               is               better               to               rate               manliness               than               Mars               Chocolate               of               North               America?

    They've               released               their               fourth               annual               COMBOS®               America's               Manliest               Cities               study.

    I'm               sure               the               results               will               cause               many               debates.
                   It               seems               the               number               one               manliest               city               is               all               of               America               is               Oklahoma               City,               followed               by               Columbia,               SC,               Memphis,               TN,               Nashville,               TN,               Birmingham,               AL,               Houston,               TX,               St.

    Louis,               MO,               Toledo,               OH,               Cleveland,               OH               and               rounding               out               the               top               ten               is               Charlotte,               NC.
                   The               study               was               conducted               by               Bert               Sperling               who               is               known               for               coming               up               with               Best               Places               to               Live               lists.
                   The               data               for               the               study               consisted               of               counting               the               number               of               home               improvement               stores,               steak               houses               and               manly               occupations               per               capita.

    What               they               considered               a               manly               job               is               anyone's               guess.

    A               city               was               knocked               down               for               having               too               many               girly               things               like               nail               salons               and               those               fancy               type               shopping               boutiques.
                   The               men               in               Tennessee               did               their               state               proud               by               finishing               first               and               second               in               the               "manly               lifestyle"               category.

    This               was               based               on               a               listing               of               the               number               of               manly               vehicles               such               as               pickup               trucks               and               motorcycles               registered               in               the               city               as               well               as               watching               sports               on               TV,               fishing               and               doing               home               improvements.
                   To               people               who               live               outside               the               state               of               California,               the               low               rankings               of               their               cities               for               manliness               is               no               surprise.

    Los               Angeles,               San               Francisco,               San               Diego,               Sacramento               and               Oakland               remained               at               the               bottom.

    I               suppose               they               had               too               many               nail               salons               and               not               enough               pickup               trucks.

    I               imagine               they               also               don't               appreciate               the               manliness               obtained               from               eating               salty               snacks.
                   It               appears               the               men               of               Oklahoma               City               not               only               have               manly               jobs,               and               shun               fancy               type               shopping               boutiques,               but               they               are               also               the               champions               of               eating               salty               snacks.

    For               the               second               year               in               a               row               this               city               had               the               highest               purchase               rate               of               salty               snacks               in               America.
